Below is a press release by our very interested friend Joan Elliott
"It all started the day I graduated high school, it was my first house and I almost missed commencement", admits Matt Rush of Shine On Window Cleaning. "You can tell when you do a good job in this line of work, just look at the windows, look at the customers faces when they see what we did and see when they call next time, we keep our customers very happy". It has been over 15 years since Matt Rush first picked up a squeegee and though he has gone through many different vehicles in his 15 years of business, his mission to quality work has stayed permanent. Kristen Hewitt (The Boss) and her brother Micah round out the
Shine On team. "Kristen is the inside person, incredible attention to detail and Micah is a stellar ladder man, both are excellent window cleaners, efficient, dependable and hard working, I couldn't ask for a better team".
The first job of the day is a renovated barn. The Shine On crew cleans every window inside and out, wipes in-between, and takes off, washes and puts back on the screens of a 50-window house in less than 3 hours. Micah even cleaned the ceiling fan with the biggest stepladder one has ever seen.
The homeowner said " This would have taken me 2 weeks, Shine On has done my windows for years".
After leaving the house, and while being thoroughly entertained by satellite radio, Team Shine On pulls into an insurance agency. Without anyone saying a word they all hop out of the vehicle, grab their ladders, rags, and squeegees, and attack in an organized formation the spider webs, dirt and residual tape from past dated flyers of community events. The woman at the front desk speculates a "sudden chance of rain" due to their arrival, and when the work is done Kristen delivers the receipt to the customer with a gracious smile and reminds her to "Shine On". Outside her car is packed, running and waiting for Kristen as she exits the building. "Another happy customer" says Micah. They are on their way to the next job directly across the street where the Shine On dance starts again.
"It's about good customer service. That is our best asset. Good clean windows and good customer service. Some guys, they get tired of doing a job every week or every 2 weeks and leave water lying around or streaks or spots and basically not going that extra mile, every time. That's how you lose jobs", says Rush.
Kay adds, "We sign our work with quality, everytime".
